Juniors Bridging School

The Gem Project Bridging school is a preparatory school which aims to bridge the learning gap for cognitively and academically challenged scholars aged 6 to 15 years. We prepare and equip them with the required foundational education, coping skills and learning tools to transition into formal mainstream or special-needs educational schools. Annually the Gem Bridging school can accommodate up to 30 full-time residential learners. Entry is based on a strict selection criterion.

Our Bridging School curriculum is aligned to the Department of Education (CAPS Curriculum).  We use a combination of classroom, practical, play-therapy and outdoor nature-based learning approaches to ensure that learners progress academically and emotionally.  Programmes are specifically adapted to suit every individual child’s educational needs.

We integrate sports, recreation, creative and performing arts as key tools for development.
